Well, it's a beautiful gray rainy day here in Canada. Well, in my part of Canada anyways :) My little guy is home sick today, so we're just lazing around and cuddling. Perfect day for it. Here is the view from my front window at the moment.

I received these beautiful ATC's from an "Earth Day" swap that I participated in last month. I absolutely LOVE them. I'm thinking of participating in the next one too. It's theme is "Express Yourself"

The envelope is art in itself. When I first started making Mail Art, I didn't decorate the envelope. Mostly because I would mail the pieces naked. And, I only use envelopes if I've embellished, or if I'm sending other goodies along with it. This envelope I prepared for "Dragonfly" to be mailed in.

I LOVE receiving Mail Art. It just makes my day. But the best thing about receiving, is sending back another piece of Mail Art. This one is heading to Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada, to a new friend of whom I hope to have many exchanges with.

"Metamorphosis" was made for this weeks Challenge over at a Facebook group I'm in called Mail Artist's Corner. The Challenge was, Pieces of You, Puzzle Pieces or Scraps, Secrets. I am constantly in a state of metamorphosis, and that's a secret no one really knows about me. It's all just part of my crazy life :)

Another face for my "SHE" Journal. The inspiration for her came from Violette Clark's book "Journal Bliss"

"I Am Aware"
I've been trying to do some faces lately, and this little lady will be part of my "SHE" Journal. My "SHE" Journal will only contain the faces I attempt to draw.

Here's some ATC's I made today for a new friend.

Been feeling kind of BLAH lately, and I'm not sure why. Maybe it's just cabin fever, and my need to get outside has taken it's toll. Maybe it's something else. I just don't know. Either way, I've been trying to focus on fun stuff in my creative adventures. This is what I've come up with.

Postcard" Why fit in when you were born to STANDOUT!" by Dr. Seuss.

I haven't been too impressed with Mother Nature this year. She keeps messing up the seasons. It's suppose to be Spring right now, and we're still fighting off Winter. So, I've been longing to get outside and enjoy some Spring Nature, and my Garden. Because of this craving for Spring, I've been in Nature mode in my creative endeavors. I finished up another postcard this afternoon and I called it "Honeycomb"

My second attempt
My first attempt at Birch Trees

I found this technique over at Balzer Designs. http://balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/2013/03/art-journal-every-day-torn-paper-collage-tutorial.html
The first time I tried it, I did it all backwards, lol! But it turned out all right I think. I tried it for a second time tonight, the proper way, and I like how this one turned out as well. The second one has more of a 3D effect going on, and I like that. I will do them again at some point, but I must move on to something else now :)
